Supporting and representing businesses in Steveston Village
Join the SMA

The Steveston Merchants Association (SMA) represents and supports businesses operating in Steveston Village. We work collaboratively with merchants, property owners, community partners, and the City of Richmond to strengthen the local business environment and support the long-term vitality of the village.
Our work includes business advocacy, marketing initiatives, community events, and ongoing engagement on issues that affect Steveston businesses.
Whether you operate a storefront, office, service business, or work behind the scenes, the SMA provides a collective voice and shared platform for Steveston’s business community.
About Steveston Village
Steveston Village is a historic waterfront community located at the mouth of the Fraser River in Richmond, British Columbia. The village is home to approximately 170 businesses, including a diverse mix of independently owned shops, restaurants, services, professional offices, and marine-related operations.
Serving both local residents and visitors, Steveston Village functions as an active commercial district as well as a neighbourhood centre. Its walkable streets, working harbour, and heritage buildings contribute to a distinctive environment that supports year-round business activity.
As the village continues to evolve, maintaining a healthy and sustainable business environment—one that balances heritage, community use, and economic vitality—remains essential to Steveston’s long-term success.
